Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Lexington Catholic Knights (Lexington, KY), 6-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Lafayette upgrades its record to 9-0 on the year. The Generals host Bryan Station (Lexington, KY) to play the Defenders in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 1. The Defenders enter the game with a record of 5-1.

The Knights now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Paul Laurence Dunbar for a District 43 game on Monday, March 31. Lexington Catholic will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.
