The North Pontotoc Vikings overwhelmed the host Oxford Chargers softball squad by a count of 7-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Senatobia Warriors (Senatobia, MS) in a 4A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. North Pontotoc will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Warriors go into the challenge with a 6-8 record after their 6-1 non-league win over Southaven (Southaven, MS).

The Chargers (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Hernando (Hernando, MS). The Tigers go into the 7A Region 1 challenge with a 19-0 record. In their last challenge, Hernando held off Des Arc (Des Arc, AR), 11-0, in a non-league challenge.
