The Whiteville Wolfpack triumphed over the host West Columbus Vikings softball squad by a count of 16-2 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Wolfpack meet the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) in a Waccamaw 1A/2A challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Whiteville will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Gators enter the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 11-0 league win over South Columbus (Tabor City, NC).

The Vikings (1-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Stallions enter the Waccamaw 1A/2A challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, South Columbus was routed by East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC), 11-0, in a league challenge.
