The Spring Hill Bears baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Taylor Tigers to 1 in the Bears non-league win on Saturday.
The Bears now hold a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cutter-Morning Star for a 2A Region 7 test on Tuesday, March 31. Spring Hill will play a Eagles team coming off a 14-1 league win over Mountain Pine (Mountain Pine, AR). The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.
With the defeat, Taylor drops to 8-6 on the year. The Tigers host Lafayette County (Stamps, AR) to battle the Cougars in a 1A Region 8 outing on Tuesday, March 31. The Cougars come into the outing with a record of 2-3.
