The Lafayette Lions baseball team scored 15 runs and limited the host New Iberia Yellowjackets to 2 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions (5-11) will now prepare for their match against Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA). The Broncos go into the 5A District 3 match with a 11-3 record. In their last match, Sam Houston notched a victory over Comeaux (Lafayette, LA), 7-1, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, New Iberia falls to 8-11 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Acadiana (Lafayette, LA) to battle the Rams in a 5A District 3 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Acadiana won 14-4 in their recent league challenge against Lafayette (Lafayette, LA)
