North Carolina High School Baseball - Ashe County defeats Freedom

In Tuesday's league challenge, the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), by a count of 8-2.

Coming up next, the Huskies play the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a battle, on Friday, April 1. Ashe County will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 3-0 record after their 2-2 league Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC).

The Patriots now possess a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to R-S Central for a non-league battle on Wednesday, March 30. Freedom will play a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 12-6 league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 6-1.
