The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ) and the host Campo Verde Coyotes (Gilbert, AZ), saw Gilbert's softball squad nip Campo Verde by a count of 13-6.

The Tigers now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Williams Field for a match on Friday, April 1. Gilbert will face a Black Hawks squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Centennial (Peoria, AZ). The Black Hawks record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Campo Verde falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ) to face the Vipers in a non-league match on Thursday, March 31. The Vipers enter the match with a record of 1-0. Verrado won 12-1 in their recent league match against Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ)
