The Murphysboro Red Devils softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats to 9 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Murphysboro moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Red Devils host Massac County (Metropolis, IL) to clash with the Patriots in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio game on Monday, April 4. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 5-3.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Goreville Blackcats (Goreville, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 30. Anna-Jonesboro will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Blackcats come into the game with a 1-5 record after their 9-0 non-league loss to Daviess County (Owensboro, KY).
