Bayard Rustin Golden Knights (West Chester, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Unionville Longhorns (Kennett Square, PA), 9-2 in a league challenge.

The Golden Knights now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host East for a Ches-Mont challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Bayard Rustin will face a Vikings squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Downingtown East (Exton, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Unionville falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Henderson (West Chester, PA) to face the Warriors in a Ches-Mont challenge on Wednesday, March 30. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Henderson won 8-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Harriton (Rosemont, PA)
