Saraland Spartans (Saraland, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Blount Leopards (Eight Mile, AL), 16-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Citronelle for a 6A Area 1 challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Saraland will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-3 league loss to McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Blount falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Leopards host McGill-Toolen (Mobile, AL) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 6A Area 1 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. McGill-Toolen won 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Citronelle (Citronelle, AL)
