The Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) softball nipped the host Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 7-6 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Blue Devils (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Patton (Morganton, NC). The Panthers go into the Mountain Foothills Seven 2A bout with a 7-2 record. In their last bout, Patton held off West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 9-0, in a non-league bout.

The Panthers now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to West Caldwell for a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 30. Patton will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 4-6.
