Cabot Panthers (Cabot, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Conway Wampus Cats (Conway, AR), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Beebe for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31.

With the loss, Conway falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Wampus cats host Northside (Fort Smith, AR) to face the Grizzlies in a 6A Central challenge on Friday, April 1. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 8-6. Northside won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Mount St. Mary Academy (Little Rock, AR)
