The Cibola Cougars (Albuquerque, NM) softball the host Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM), 10-7 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Cougars (10-5) will now prepare for their bout against Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Matadors go into the non-league bout with a 6-3 record. In their last bout, Sandia held off Highland (Albuquerque, NM), 18-0, in a non-league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Atrisco Heritage Academy for a 5A District 1 bout on Friday, April 1. Volcano Vista will confront a Jaguars squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Rio Rancho (Rio Rancho, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-6.
