Germantown Mavericks (Madison, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clinton Arrows (Clinton, MS), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Mavericks now own a 12-6 record. They take the field next when they host Murrah for a 6A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, March 31. Germantown will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Madison Central (Madison, MS). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Clinton falls to 9-10 on the campaign. The Arrows travel to Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Warren Central lost 12-0 in their recent league challenge against Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS)
