Fairview Eagles (Ashland, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Morgan County Cougars (West Liberty, KY), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Prestonsburg for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. Fairview will battle a Black Cats squad coming off a 10-9 league loss to Floyd Central (Eastern, KY). The Black Cats record now stands at 2-5.

With the loss, Morgan County falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY) to battle the Lions in a District 62 challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Elliott County lost 16-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson City (Jackson, KY)
