Wylie Pirates (Wylie, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Garland Owls (Garland, TX), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lubbock for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 1.

With the loss, Garland falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Owls host Sachse (Sachse, TX) to battle the Mustangs in a 6A Region II District 9 challenge on Friday, April 1. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 13-9. Sachse won 22-0 in their recent league challenge against South Garland (Garland, TX)
