The Monterey Trail Mustangs softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Grant Pacers to 1 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Monterey Trail moves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA) to clash with the Cardinals in a Metropolitan Conference game on Thursday, March 31. The Cardinals come into the game with a record of 2-6. Laguna Creek won 7-6 in their recent league game against River City (West Sacramento, CA)

In their next game, the Pacers clash with the Kennedy Cougars (Sacramento, CA) in a Metropolitan Conference game, on Tuesday, April 5. Grant will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 0-4 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA).
