Madison County Tigers (Gurley, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL), 8-4 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they host North Jackson for a 4A Area 14 challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Madison County will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Fyffe (Fyffe, AL). The Chiefs record now stands at 8-3.

With the loss, New Hope falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Indians travel to North Jackson (Stevenson, AL) to face the Chiefs in a 4A Area 14 challenge on Monday, April 4. The Chiefs enter the challenge with a record of 9-3.
