Powhatan Indians (Powhatan, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Monacan Chiefs (Richmond, VA), 4-3 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to James River Midlothian for a Dominion challenge on Wednesday, March 30.

With the loss, Monacan falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Cosby (Midlothian, VA) to battle the Titans in a Dominion challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Cosby won 5-4 in their recent league challenge against Manchester (Midlothian, VA)
