Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Bobcats now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host Forrest County Agricultural for a 4A Region 7 challenge on Thursday, March 31. Sumrall will battle a Aggies squad coming off a 13-9 non-league loss to Pearl River Central (Carriere, MS). The Aggies record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Poplarville falls to 3-6 on the campaign.
