The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS) and the host Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS), saw Wesson's softball squad achieve victory over Port Gibson by a count of 17-0.
The Cobras now sport a 13-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warren Central for a non-league match on Friday, April 1. Wesson will face a Vikings squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Clinton (Clinton, MS). The Vikings record now stands at 12-7.
With the loss, Port Gibson falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Blue waves travel to Wesson (Wesson, MS) to face the Cobras in a 3A Region 7 match on Thursday, April 7. The Cobras enter the match with a record of 13-1.
