The South Stokes Sauras softball team (Walnut Cove, NC), was tipped 1-0 in Tuesday's league test with the host Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC)

The Rams (9-1) will now prepare for their bout against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans go into the Northwest 1A bout with a 0-11 record. In their last bout, Alleghany was edged by Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 7-1, in a non-league bout.

The Sauras now possess a 8-3 record. They play next when they host North Stokes for a Northwest 1A bout on Friday, April 1. South Stokes will confront a Vikings squad coming off a 15-0 league loss to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 5-4.
