Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Uwharrie Charter Eagles (Asheboro, NC), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Stanly for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. Southwestern Randolph will face a Colts squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Colts record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Uwharrie Charter falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Morehead (Eden, NC) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Morehead won 24-0 in their recent league challenge against T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC)
