North Carolina High School Softball - Topsail bounces West Brunswick

Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they host Dixon for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. Topsail will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 9-7 league loss to West Carteret (Morehead City, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, West Brunswick falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to battle the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 30. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 4-6. Pinecrest lost 10-3 in their recent league challenge against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)
