In Wednesday's league battle, the host Jefferson Democrats volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix.

The Democrats (5-7) will now prepare for their battle against Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA). The Romans come into the Exposition battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Los Angeles achieved victory over Math & Science College Preparatory (Los Angeles, CA), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Phoenix clash with the Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 10. Dr. Maya Angelou Community will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Lions come into the battle with a 9-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Rise Kohyang (Los Angeles, CA).
