In Wednesday's league game, the Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC) soccer squad overwhelmed the visiting Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC), by a final score of 9-0.
The Stallions (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Lee Park Prep (Monroe, NC). The Knights go into the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Lee Park Prep was overwhelmed by Arborbrook Christian Academy (Matthews, NC), 9-2, in a non-league game.
The Comets (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Patriots go into the Metro Eight 1A game with a 6-3 record. In their last game, Piedmont Community Charter was overwhelmed by Concord Academy (Concord, NC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
