Jordan Beetdiggers (Sandy, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Summit Academy Bears (Bluffdale, UT), 15-11 in a non-league challenge.

The Beetdiggers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain View for a 5A Region 8 challenge on Saturday, April 1.

With the loss, Summit Academy falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Bears host Providence Hall (Herriman, UT) to battle the Patriots in a 3A Region 15 challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 3-3.
