West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 14-0 in a league challenge.

The Blackhawks now sport a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host East Surry for a Foothills 2A challenge on Friday, March 31. West Wilkes will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 12-0 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Surry Central falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Golden eagles host North Surry (Mount Airy, NC) to face the Greyhounds in a Foothills 2A challenge on Friday, March 31. The Greyhounds enter the challenge with a record of 2-6. North Surry won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)
