In Friday's league contest, the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Rector Cougars (Rector, AR), by a margin of 14-8.

With the triumph, East Poinsett County moves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Warriors travel to Buffalo Island Central (Monette, AR) to play the Mustangs in a 2A Region 3 contest on Monday, April 1. The Mustangs come into the contest with a record of 5-5. Buffalo Island Central won 16-0 in their recent league contest against Marmaduke (Marmaduke, AR)

In their next game, the Cougars play the Bay Yellowjackets (Bay, AR) in a 2A Region 3 contest, on Tuesday, April 2. Rector will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record.
