The crowd at Friday's league match between the Elma Eagles (Elma, WA) and the visiting Hoquiam Grizzlies (Hoquiam, WA), saw Elma's softball squad nip Hoquiam by a count of 6-5.

The Eagles now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Black Hills for a non-league match on Monday, April 8. Elma will face a Wolves squad coming off a 10-5 league loss to Centralia (Centralia, WA). The Wolves record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Hoquiam falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Ilwaco (Ilwaco, WA) to face the Fishermen in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 2. The Fishermen enter the match with a record of 1-0. Ilwaco won 22-4 in their recent league match against North Beach (Ocean Shores, WA)
