Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Valley Lumberjacks (Pine Grove, WV), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host River for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 3. Frontier will battle a Pilots squad coming off a 11-3 league win over Bridgeport (Bridgeport, OH). The Pilots record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Valley falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to Bridgeport (Bridgeport, OH) to battle the Bulldogs in a Ohio Valley Athletic AA challenge on Monday, April 1. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Bridgeport lost 15-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH)
