The Hillcrest Rams softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Mauldin Mavericks to 8 in the Rams league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Hillcrest moves its record to 2-6 on the year. The Rams host James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC) to play the Rebels in a non-league game on Tuesday, April 2. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 14-2. James F. Byrnes won 4-3 in their recent non-league game against St. James (Murrells Inlet, SC)

In their next game, the Mavericks play the J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC) in a AAAAA Region 1 game, on Monday, April 1. Mauldin will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record. The Patriots come into the game with a 0-3 record after their 15-12 non-league loss to Wade Hampton (Greenville, SC).
