Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), 15-13 in a non-league challenge.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bloomfield for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. Los Alamos will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Valencia falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Tularosa (Tularosa, NM) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 30. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Tularosa lost 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM)
