Luis Valdez Leadership Academy Lions (San Jose, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pacific Bay Christian Eagles (Pacifica, CA), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Lions now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Latino College Preparatory Academy for a PSAL challenge on Thursday, April 4. Luis Valdez Leadership Academy will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 0-0 league Pacific Bay Christian (Pacifica, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Pacific Bay Christian falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to DCP Alum Rock (San Jose, CA) to battle the Lobos in a PSAL challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Lobos enter the challenge with a record of 2-9. DCP Alum Rock lost 34-9 in their recent non-league challenge against Castilleja (Palo Alto, CA)
