The Mechanicsville Mustangs (Mechanicsville, VA) baseball trounced the host Caroline Cavaliers (Milford, VA), 8-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Christopher's for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 31. Mechanicsville will clash with a Saints team coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA). The Saints record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, Caroline drops to 1-2 on the year. The Cavaliers host James Monroe (Fredericksburg, VA) to clash with the Yellow Jackets in a Battlefield challenge on Tuesday, April 8. The Yellow Jackets go into the challenge with a record of 1-1.
