The East Greenwich Avengers baseball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Prout Crusaders to 1 in the Avengers non-league win on Saturday.

The Avengers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Providence for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 2. East Greenwich will play a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Johnston (Johnston, RI). The Cougars record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Prout drops to 0-1 on the year. The Crusaders host Central (Providence, RI) to play the Knights in a Division 2 test on Wednesday, April 2. The Knights go into the test with a record of 1-0. Central won 7-4 in their recent non-league test against Hope (Providence, RI)
