The Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) baseball got by the host Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX), 9-8 in Saturday's league challenge.

The Bumblebees now own a 12-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rockdale for a 3A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Little River Academy will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-12.

With the defeat, Lexington drops to 11-9 on the year. The Eagles host Franklin (Franklin, TX) to clash with the Lions in a 3A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, April 1. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 13-3. Franklin won 13-6 in their recent league challenge against C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX)
