The Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) baseball trounced the host Ballard Beavers (Seattle, WA), 9-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
The Islanders now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Garfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 1. Mercer Island will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 17-0 league loss to West Seattle (Seattle, WA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-2.
