Texas High School Softball - New Deal knocked off by Abernathy

March 29, 2025: New Deal, TX 79350

The Abernathy Antelopes overwhelmed the host New Deal Lions softball squad by a count of 16-0 in Saturday's league challenge.

Next, the Antelopes meet the Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, April 1. Abernathy will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Hornets go into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 11-0 league loss to Hale Center (Hale Center, TX).

The Lions (2-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Olton (Olton, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league challenge with a 0-12 record. In their last challenge, Olton was routed by Ralls (Ralls, TX), 22-5, in a non-league challenge.
