The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the host Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX), observed Amarillo's softball team prevail over Coronado by a tally of 21-0.

The Sandies (18-6) will now prepare for their bout against Plainview (Plainview, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 5A Region I District 3 bout with a 6-15 record. In their last bout, Plainview was routed by Monterey (Lubbock, TX), 17-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a bout, on Tuesday, April 1. Coronado will attempt to advance on its 4-12 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 19-0 league win over Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX).
