In Saturday's non-league match, the host Winfield Pirates softball team scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Sipsey Valley Bears.

The Pirates (15-4) will now prepare for their match against Northridge (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Jaguars go into the non-league match with a 5-11 record. In their last match, Northridge gained a win over Fayette County (Fayette, AL), 20-17, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Northridge Jaguars (Tuscaloosa, AL) in a non-league match, on Monday, March 31. Sipsey Valley will attempt to better on its 7-17 season record. The Jaguars go into the match with a 5-12 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Winfield (Winfield, AL).
