The St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) softball routed the visiting St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings (Staten Island, NY), 7-0 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Friars now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. John the Baptist for a non-league outing on Monday, March 31. St. Anthony's will encounter a Cougars team coming off a 16-10 non-league loss to Mary Louis Academy (Jamaica, NY). The Cougars record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, St. Joseph-by-the-Sea moves to 0-1 on the season. The Vikings host Notre Dame Academy (Staten Island, NY) to encounter the Gators in a Bronx/Westchester outing on Wednesday, April 2. The Gators come into the outing with a record of 1-2.
