The Northwest Whitfield Bruins the host North Murray Mountaineers baseball team by a count of 8-6 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Bruins now possess a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to LaFayette for a non-league bout on Friday, March 4. Northwest Whitfield will face a Ramblers team coming off a 8-5 non-league loss to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA). The Ramblers record now stands at 2-6.
Next, the Mountaineers face the Dade County Wolverines (Trenton, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 8. North Murray will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Wolverines enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Ider (Ider, AL).
