The Ariton Purple Cats softball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Zion Chapel Rebels to 1 in the Purple Cats league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Ariton moves its record to 5-0 on the year. The Purple Cats travel to Houston Academy (Dothan, AL) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, March 4. The Raiders come into the game with a record of 8-1. Houston Academy lost 5-3 in their recent league game against Wicksburg (Newton, AL)

In their next game, the Rebels clash with the Kinston Bulldogs (Kinston, AL) in a non-league game, on Monday, March 7. Zion Chapel will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 1-2 record after their 19-0 league win over Florala (Florala, AL).
