Southeastern Mustangs (Remlap, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cleveland Panthers (Cleveland, AL), 8-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Locust Fork for a 2A Area 11 challenge on Monday, March 7. Southeastern will face a Hornets squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to West End (Walnut Grove, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Cleveland falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Pennington (Blountsville, AL) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 5. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Pennington lost 18-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Arab (Arab, AL)
