Slocomb Red Tops (Slocomb, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Headland Rams (Headland, AL), 11-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Red Tops now own a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Providence Christian for a 3A Area 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Slocomb will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Daleville (Daleville, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Headland falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Rams host Rehobeth (Dothan, AL) to battle the Rebels in a 5A Area 3 challenge on Tuesday, March 8. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 5-2.
