Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolves now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Bunker Hill for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge on Tuesday, March 8. Lincolnton will face a Bears squad coming off a 26-0 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Bears record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, South Point falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to face the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 4. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Bessemer City lost 18-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC)
