Minnesota High School Basketball - Staples-Motley winner over Aitkin

The Staples-Motley Cardinals (Staples, MN) basketball felled the visiting Aitkin Gobblers (Aitkin, MN), 54-46 in Friday's league test.

The Cardinals (9-12) will now prepare for their test against Pillager (Pillager, MN). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 14-12 record. In their last test, Pillager was beaten by Osakis (Osakis, MN), 86-67, in a non-league test.

The Gobblers now own a 10-15 record. They play next when they travel to Hinckley-Finlayson for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 7. Aitkin will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 62-45 non-league loss to Upsala (Upsala, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 12-19.
