In Friday's league game, the Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) soccer squad tipped the host Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots (Mission, TX), by a final score of 2-1.
The Mustangs (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Huskies go into the 5A Region 4 District 30 game with a 12-5 record.
The Patriots (18-4) will now prepare for their game against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Rattlers go into the 5A Region 4 District 30 game with a 1-10 record. In their last game, Rio Grande City was nudged by Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX), 9-0, in a league game.
