Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Pine Tree Pirates (Longview, TX), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers confront the Texas Tigers (Texarkana, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, March 7. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to better on its 9-8 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 4-1 league loss to Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX).

The Pirates now have a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Longview for a 5A Region 2 District 15 challenge on Tuesday, March 7. Pine Tree will confront a Lobos team coming off a 11-0 league win over Marshall (Marshall, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 15-5.
